Read the 1-in / N-out count, whether outputs are HDMI, Cat, or HDBaseT, the listed resolution and bandwidth, EDID handling if shown, and any HDMI loop output. Mixed display types need the EDID note on that page.
When should I choose a splitter instead of a matrix or switcher?
Choose a splitter when every display must show the same source at the same time. A matrix is for screens that need different sources. A switcher is several sources to one screen. An extender is one source to one distant screen. A converter does not multiply outputs.
What should I send for a correct splitter quote?

Does a splitter work with mixed displays or long runs?
If displays differ in resolution, read the EDID or scaling note on the model page. HDMI-only outputs stay on short local runs. HDBaseT or Cat outputs need the matching receivers listed for that splitter. Confirm output type per port, not just the output count.
