What job is a MEGRA MATRIX control product for?

Control products give the room a touch panel, key panel, or central controller so staff can operate sources, displays, and scenes from one place. They send commands. They do not carry HDMI video.

What should I read on a control spec sheet before I inquire?

Read the panel type (desktop touch, wall-plate touch, key panel, or central controller), listed comms ports (LAN/PoE, RS-485, and any serial notes), and power method. This family has no HDMI video I/O — do not look for a matrix port count here.

When should I choose a control panel instead of a matrix or extender?

Choose control when staff need a touch panel, key panel, or central controller to operate the room. These units send commands. They do not carry HDMI video. A matrix, switcher, splitter, extender, or AV over IP endpoint is the video path. A converter and a cable also do not replace a panel.
