Questions
What job is a MEGRA MATRIX audio product for?
Audio processors and Dante amplifiers sit in the same rack as the video path when the room needs mic/line processing or Dante amplification. They handle speech and program audio. They do not route or extend HDMI video.
What should I read on an audio spec sheet before I inquire?
Read analog mic/line channel count, whether Dante ports are listed, phantom power if shown, and whether the SKU is a processor or a Dante amplifier. Channel counts are on the model page — do not assume one size matches another.
When should I choose an audio processor instead of a matrix or converter?
Choose this family for mic/line processing or Dante amplification next to the video rack. A matrix, switcher, splitter, extender, or AV over IP unit is the video path — they do not mix speech. A converter may extract or embed audio at the format edge, but it is not a DSP. A control panel does not mix microphones.
What should I send for a correct audio quote?
WhatsApp MEGRA with the model code, client name, and location. Add mic/line count and whether Dante must tie into the existing audio network.
Audio processor or Dante amplifier?
A processor mixes and treats mic/line — and Dante, where listed. A Dante amplifier takes Dante or listed analog and drives loudspeakers. They are not substitutes. Read whether the page lists DSP functions or amplifier channels.
